The pure weirdness and the dissonance are what originally drew me to Danny Playamaqui's music. It always makes me grin to hear it, because I can imagine how unappealing it must sound to other people. You might describe it as "anti-music." But if you can get past that knee-jerk reaction, you can enjoy this style on a purely sensory level. You just have to relax enough.

Sometimes I spot a great artist on Bandcamp, who has existed totally unbeknownst to me so far - only to find out that he/she has just one or two albums out yet... what a pity... but not so in this case. Danny Perez aka Danny Playamaqui can look back on a fat back-catalog already. So even after purchasing three albums, there's still a lot to explore here! Take a listen - it's quite weird and unusual avantronic stuff you won't find every day.
